HEMEL HEMPSTEAD, UK, 6 April 2021 – Kodak Alaris has acquired a portion of Spigraph’s UK service business including the repair and maintenance of Kodak Alaris scanners, which were previously handled by Spigraph. As part of the deal, Kodak Alaris has also increased the number of ibml scanners it services in the UK.

The agreement allows Kodak Alaris to expand the reach of its world class service organization and deliver greater value to channel partners and end-user customers. A recent survey of Kodak Alaris scanner customers in the UK revealed an average response of 9 out of 10 when respondents were asked how satisfied they are with the technical support they receive from the company.

In addition to outstanding customer satisfaction and loyalty, Kodak Alaris’ market share in high-volume production capture gives it a unique ability to serve customers in ways that no other service provider can. “The acquisition of Spigraph’s Service business in the UK puts us in an excellent position to play to our strengths,” said Regine Mudrack, EMEA Service Director for Kodak Alaris. “With significant market share in production capture, driven by the widespread adoption of Kodak i4000 and i5000 Series Scanners and high-speed solutions such as the ibml FUSiON and ibml ImageTrac, it makes sense for Kodak Alaris to be a ubiquitous service provider for our UK customers.”

In addition to manufacturing and servicing its own products, Kodak Alaris is ibml’s largest reseller and service partner in the EMEA. “Maintaining our own products and providing service for ibml scanners is a natural extension of the outstanding work our Field Engineers have been doing for decades across the region and around the world,” added Darran Porton, Service Cluster Manager Northern Europe. “It’s a perfect opportunity to sharpen focus on what we do best.”

The Kodak Alaris Service and Support team will provide nationwide coverage through its fully dedicated and trained team of Field Engineers. Many of the customers that will benefit from this support are Service Bureaus and Business Process Outsourcers (BPOs) who make a living out of scanning – many of whom are up and running 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

All of the service contracts were reassigned to Kodak Alaris, effective March 2, 2021.
